The lively figures in this painting come from the hand of Franz Christoph Janneck, who often populated paintings by Schinnagl with figures. Maximilian Schinnagl, who was influenced by Josef Orient and Anton Faistenberger, also worked in collaboration with the Imperial court painter, Martin van Meytens. Pictures by him were acquired by the Imperial Gemäldegalerie as well as the ecclesiastical and princely collections of Austria.
