North German, 17th century and later. A demountable oak and softwood cabinet with later metal screw assembly, a moulded stepped cornice, oak veneer, a dark finish, 2 large doors with bastion-like panels, as well as lavish carvings with figural motifs including the 4 Evangelists, and with 2 small doors in the plinth area. Ca. 260 x 245 x 85 cm. The back panel and interior restored, a moulded section missing, also marks on the lower section and some ageing and wear. (DOC)
