Northeast Persia (Iran), c. 396 x 115 cm, about 1930, as a result of geographical proximity it is not unusual for Kurdish carpets to display Turkmen tribal patterns, pursuant to field research conducted by Besim and Stanzer, this runner probably comes from the summer encampment in the border region near Oghaz, where the nomadic Yomut tribe also live; manufactured on cotton warp with wool wefts, partially low pile.
