Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 334 x 276 cm, late 19th century, an imposing and very expressive “Serapi” carpet with large oval medallion and floral arms, also remarkable is the heavily stylised floral pattern typical of this group, exceptionally well executed colouring with superb yellow, green and blue tones, in soft wool quality without bare pile areas, the present piece is preserved in very good condition, both ends have been filled in.
