Caucasus, c. 393 x 162 cm, about 1900, “palas” kelley in slit technique with a pattern featuring horizontal series of hexagons and narrow borders with double ‘S’ symbols, artfully arranged reciprocal medachyl border frame, multicoloured wool warp; both ends have been filled in and are slightly damaged, a linen band with rings for hanging is attached to the back of the long side.
