Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 405 x 304 cm, about 1960, interesting silk carpet with an octagon embedded in the shield-shaped central field, very dynamic decoration with motifs of birds and vases, and mystical grotesques emerging from the spiral tendrils and cloud bands, main border with so-called “Zili Sultan” pattern; consistently full silk pile without defects, c. 1/2 mill. kts/sqm, with the signature "Marab".
