A shelf system produced by Strafor Forges de Strasbourg. Their sales argument was: ‘We must seek out opportunities for metal and look for new ways to use steel in all fields of industrial activity, including the manufacture of metal furniture.’ In the 1920s the company was a leading manufacturer of steel furniture in Europe. It owned three factories with a floor space of 24 hectares and had 1,300 employees.
