However, it has always been important to me to have a relatively broad foundation because I definitely knew that one idea was not enough. You need different ideas to keep the excitement going, even for yourself. If you can do something well, it automatically becomes boring, precisely because you can do it well and are no longer challenged - but then it immediately becomes bad, too. I have always kept different doors open so that I’m able to switch with no hesitation. For example, when I did nothing but make videos for a period of time, at some point I was only able to think in terms of videos. I was no longer able to do anything else. The same thing happened to me with the sweater pieces. Being limited like this unsettled me so much that I have forced myself to constantly switch between methods, ideas and materials.
