white lacquered beechwood; the seat cushion not original, with replaced leather cover; signs of age and use; height 74 cm, SH.45 cm, width 57 cm, depth 52 cm. (MP)
The present chair, executed for the successful 1908 Kunstschau, found its place in the salon of the Kohn house and is connected to the furniture series no. 729, which Josef Hoffmann created for the Cabaret Fledermaus.
