porcelain, the curving cobalt blue body with cambered lid, the exterior decorated with a polychrome painted Romantic sylvan landscape with castle, building, lake, and an amphora on a pedestal, in the foreground Watteau couple embracing, the cavalier whispering into the young lady's ear, to the side a basket with flowers and sun hat, outlined with gilt leaf rocailles, scale- and lattice décor, leafy vines and rose branches, the facing side with gilt tambourine, shepherd's pipe, and rose branch, the reverse side with a reserve containing laurel branches, the underside with large rose garlands and bouquets in reserves and also wide gilt edging on a cobalt blue ground, yellow metal mount with bead moulding, moulded leafy- and blossoming vines and clasp with leaf rocailles, the inside lid and bottom section with polychrome painted scatter of flowers and large floral bouquet, height: 16 cm, length: 40,5 cm, depth: 27,5 cm, slight craquelure
