Fritz Heinemann (Altena 1864-1932 Berlin) attended the Art School in Nuremberg and, from 1889, the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. In 1897, he was awarded a Gold Medal at the Grosse Berliner Kunstausstellung, and a bronze medal at the International Exposition in St Louis in 1904. From 1889 until 1905, he worked as a instructor for the teaching institute at the Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin.
