Milan, a modified Baroque style from the end of the 19th century, in the style of Ferdinando Pogliani (1832-1899). A bureau à deux corps, with a 2-door lower section with a richly moulded plinth and oval panels and 2 drawers; a 2-door upper section with a removable broken pediment, veneered mostly in ebony and lavishly decorated with figural and floral marquetry in ivory and bone; the fall-front writing section enclosing interior drawers and with a later lining. Ca. 295 x 175 x 65 cm. Some cracks, some small losses, some ageing and wear. (DOC)
