Veneered in various fine woods such as mahogany and tulipwood over hardwood, with slightly cabriole legs, rounded angles, the sides with crossbanded veneer, with 4 drawers at the front, a fall-front with marquetry motifs of musical instruments as an allegory of music, as well as festoons and flowers, in partly dyed woods, a mahogany-veneered fitted interior, the writing surface lined with gold-embossed green leather, a marble top (brèche d’Alep) and bronze mounts. Ca. 152 x 91 x 39 cm. Veneer losses in two areas, otherwise in cared-for condition. (DOC)
