After studying at the Glassmaking Professional School in Kame-nický Šenov, Vladimír Jelínek graduated from prof. Kaplický’s studio at the AAAD in Prague. As a glass artist, he collaborated with various glassworks. His collaboration with the Moser Glassworks started in 1968. He shapes glass in the glassworks, with combinations and innovative glasswork techniques that he then decorates with thoughtful cutting and engraving. The objects made of massive enamel, with very simple shapes, created out of several colorful layers are his most successful.
The Vase – Object on offer was designed in 1968 and created in 1969. It is one of the first and also most successful designs created in collaboration with the Moser glassworks. In 1970, this vase received a gold medal at the Handwerksmesse in Munich.
