Lille, Flanders (today France on the border with Belgium), Manufactory Widow Guillaume Werniers, c. 313 x 165 cm, about 1745; the preset tapestry panel or entre-fenêtre depicts a rural scene after David Teniers the Younger with a table, on which a female farmer sells her dairy products to two gentlemen outdoors, with architecture visible in the background and an exotic cockatoo perched upon a tree, especially worth mentioning is the striking border frame in shades of brown featuring coats of arms and grotesque amphorae, which suggests the attribution of this tapestry to the aforementioned workshop; the present item is fully preserved, with repairs due to its age, a few open warp slits to the upper left silk weaving, entirely mounted on linen with rings for hanging, an ornamental cord has been attached all around at a later date, very dusty.
