West Turkestan, c. 242 x 86 cm, early 19th century, left half of a former central carpet with two vertical rows with 10 large primary field motifs and classic kurbaghe secondary guls each, the main border featuring hooked octagons in alternating colours, with only two narrow guard stripes, which indicates the item’s old age; left side original, both knotted finishes trimmed short, right carpet half missing, a few losses backed with fabric, partially low pile, professionally conserved.
