France, c. 214 x 322 cm, mid-18th century, silk and wool weaving with a group of figures outdoors, surrounded by bulls and architecture, a similar carpet from this series has been published by Dora Heinz, the narrow border is framed all around with blue linen, the back is also entirely secured with fabric and includes a fixture for hanging, without visible repairs, fully preserved, superb condition.
