West Turkestan, c. 23 x 67 cm, mid-19th century, only a handful of small bags such as the present one are documented (originally used for storing fragile objects), the central field is divided into three large, light-ground rectangles with “Ak Nagysh” pattern, with both the gul core of the ashik lozenge and several minor parts of the pattern executed in silk, manufactured with c. 4,500 kts/sqm in very fine knotted density, good pile condition with original side edges, both finishes have been reduced.
