Yomut Asmalyk,
West Turkestan, c. 70 x 113 cm, about 1890, rare heptagonal camel side decoration, the vertical lines are drawn in compact design and are not punctuated by ashik patterns, syrga main border with three-tined forks, a very similar asmalyk has been published by Loges; good pile condition, replaced selvedges, slight ‘bleeding’ - which suggests the presence of a chemical dye.
