‘Häuser im engen Tal vor steilen Felsen mit Brücke über einem Bach’ [Houses in a narrow valley against sheer rocks with a bridge over a stream], upper signature stamp ‘Wen Cong’, lower signature stamp ‘Long You’, dated: ‘Shun Zhi Geng Yin’ (King Shun Zhi 1644-1661, Geng Yin 1650), black ink and delicate colour on silk, laid down on paper, very creased, the weave of the silk may suggest a much later date, 106 x 50.2 cm (image size), (CT)
