A modified Louis XVI style in the manner of A. WEISWEILLER made at the end of the 19th century. A hardwood desk with contrasting mahogany and satinwood veneer, also a depiction of a basket of flowers rendered in partly dyed woods, set on tapering legs with square cross-section, lateral serpentine compartments, rich bronze doré mounts, the writing surface with gold embossed leather lining, the fitted interior with burlwood veneer, 4 interior drawers and a decoration of double columns. Ca. 123 x 108 x 35 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
