1891, white Carrara marble worked in the round, youth with knotted fabric tied around his head, gazing at himself in a hand mirror, height 57 cm, signed and dated to the plinth, some nicks to the edges, (MC)

Fritz Heinemann (Altena 1864- 1932 Berlin) attended the Nuremberg Art School, and from 1889 the Berlin Academy of Arts. In 1897, he was awarded a small gold medal at the Grosse Berliner Kunstausstellung, and a bronze medal at the International Exposition in St. Louis in 1904. He was active as a teacher as the Teaching Institute of the Museum for the Applied Arts in Berlin between 1889 and 1905.
