“Avaf” stands for “Assume Vivid Astro Focus” and is an artist duo, consisting of Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide-Pierson. Eli Sudbrack was born in Rio de Janeiro, and currently lives and works in Sao Paulo and New York. Christophe Hamaide-Pierson was born in Paris, where he lives and works. Works by avaf are preserved in the collections of MOMA Sao Paolo (Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paolo), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami.
