Description:
Bible of Halle, bearing its name in accordance with its place of origin, was first published in 1722. The second edition of the One-Volume Bible of Kralice(1613), complemented by a comparison with Luther's German Bible, was taken as a model. In the third edition, Bela’s preface was replaced by an extensive article by Jan Teofil Elsner, on the history of Czech Bible translation.
