Otto Prutscher, a table, designed in 1914, model number: 8350, executed by Gebrüder Thonet, Vienna - Jugendstil and 20th Century Arts and Crafts

beechwood, subsequently painted black, and brown-black on the foot; lower edge with sheet brass; restored, signs of age and use; the underside with Thonet metal plaque, featuring the inscription: “Eigentum der Firma Thonet Wien”;
height 77.5 cm, diameter 60 cm. (MP)

The table with model no. 8350 was introduced in the “Thonet Zentral Anzeiger” on 15 July 1914, in three versions. One table with brass foot, one with plain bentwood foot, and one - like the present lot - with brass edging along the border. Along with the chair, model no. 778, and the clothes stand, model no. 10416, the table was part of the furniture of Cáfe Lurion in Vienna.
