A Lobmeyr goblet from the series "Tritons" - Glass and Porcelain

colourless glass, the body with wide and narrow gilt edging, gilt meander with white enamel dots, with a burnished- and matt gilt acanthus frieze, encompassed by waves with 2 dolphins and a Triton couple embracing each other, holding a shell in the left hand, pink flash on white enamel, the base of the body with gilt egg-and-dart pattern, leaf festoons with white dots extending to the base, height: 16,3 cm, J. & L. Lobmeyr; Vienna, ca. 1877, after a drawing by Lobmeyr himself (Ru)
