seated lady wearing an ermine cloak, ermine crown, strings of pearls, set with gemstones her left hand extended towards the Roman goddess Pomona, the latter holding two cornucopias in the right hand, filled with fruit and flowers gold and gemstones, in the background a sacrificial column with fire, ram head handles tied with laurel festoons and gilt beads, light purple bows, the facing side and reverse decorated with medallions, cont. polychrome painted Cupid with basket of flowers and a cornucopia of flowers, the oval body with wide and narrow gilt edging, gilt meander, grey and brown marbling and gilt chain frieze with rosettes, porcelain, polychromed and gilt, height: 34 cm, length: 31 cm, small restorations; Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords 2nd half 19th cent., former no. 101, red painter no. 74, model by Christian Gottfried Jüchtzer 1780, this group was probably intended as a glorification of Tsarina Catherine II. 1729-1796 (Ru)
