A unique glass object, “Nautilus III”, designed and manufactured by Andrej Jakab - Design

A unique piece.

The Slovak glass artist Andrej Jakab was born in 1950 and is one of the most influential craftsmen who have shaped glass art in Eastern Europe and thus the whole of modernist glass art. In his work, he shows how extraordinarily varied the possibilities of polished optical glass can be. His objects are characterised by the interaction of light and colour. His oeuvre is an impressive testimony to his individual craftsmanship and his command of this difficult and laborious technique.
