porcelain, 56 pieces: 12 dinner plates dia 25.5 cm, 12 consommé cups with 12 saucers dia 16 cm, 12 dessert plates dia 19.5 cm, 2 tureens of round form with cover, seated girl and boy with grapes in their hands as finials, height 19 cm, dia 25.5 cm, 2 sauce tureens with attached saucer height 9.5 cm, length 24 cm, 2 oval platters length 31 cm, 2 square bowls dia 23.5 cm, the body with lobed wide gilt edging, arched relief with yellow slanting strapwork, delicate gilt edging with 4 yellow reserves and gilt leaf and flower tendrils, on the side polychrome painted garlands of flowers, inside rim with gold serrated border, the well with large bouquet of flowers, gold-heightened handles, gold-heightened tureen handles with coloured sculptural blooming branches, KPM-Berlin, underglaze blue sceptre mark, red painter mark c. 1966 (Ru)

The model for this service is the “Yellow table service for King Frederick the Great” (1712-1786), for the Potsdam City Palace. After a design by Elias Meyer, 1723- 1785;
