South Caucasus, c. 211 x 162 cm, second half of the 19th century, blanket woven in a single piece, with uni-red central field and blue and red warp threads, especially charming are the many stylised four-legged animals surrounding the frieze, the aesthetic patterning, colours and the soft feel suggest an early origin of the blanket, very good condition with only minimal fringe damage.
