in the centre Bacchus sitting on a wine barrel with a raised red wine goblet in his right hand and a thyrsus in his left, clad in cheetah pelt, a kneeling companion on the side putting her right hand on his knee and looking admiringly, with her left pouring red wine into a faun boy’s goblet, on the left side a seated Cupid with a cup of red wine in his right hand, underneath his bow, in the background his quiver, the reverse side with a large grapevine with red and blue grapes, rock base with gilt edging, height 33 cm, length 28 cm, small restorations, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, second half of the 19th century, model no. C 35x, red painter no. 49, model by Ernst August Leuteritz 1843-1850 (Ru)
