high oval base with 4 volute feet and acanthus leaves and laurel festoon, the facing side with inserted medallions, painted with amoretti holding garlands of flowers in their hands, framed by gilt beaded friezes, the upper section featuring a pergola with large and small porcelain blossoms and golden sprigs of leaves, surmounted by 1 candle socket each, one porcelain figure each in the middle, the allegory of a river goddess and a river god, both resting on a gold rocaille plinth with reeds, colourfully painted flower branches and vases pouring water, the river god holding an oar in his right hand, height 28.5 cm, width 16 cm, small restorations, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark on the back of the base c. 1750, model by Johann Joachim Kändler (Ru)
