East Anatolia, c. 332 x 123 cm, 19th century. Finely knotted, with a thick pile of glossy wool and bright colours, this carpet is a typical example of East Anatolian nomadic work, probably by a Kurdish tribe. Preserved in its original condition, with original edges and ends, partly trimmed pile and a few damaged areas. (VP)
