The images of the inventor of so-called “panic realism” Belenok are often interpreted as a foretaste of the Chernobyl catastrophe.
At the „Free Flight“ exhibition dedicated to Andrey Tarkovsky in the Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow) in 2019, Belenok became one of the artists whose works were compared with the director’s films.
