silver, repoussé; handles and cover finials partly made of wood; consisting of: a teapot with hinged cover (height 18.7 cm), a coffee pot with hinged cover (height 22.3 cm), a sugar bowl with cover (height 14.1 cm), a milk jug (height 10.8 cm) and a bowl (height 8.7 cm); undersides marked with maker’s mark, Dutch silver hallmarks; signs of use; total weight: 1,978 g. This silver service is stylistically in the tradition of the Wiener Werkstätte. Gustav Beran was head of the design department of Gerritsen & van Kempen from 1934 onwards.
