The present painting is reminiscent of the work of Jan Baptist Bosschaert, as well as of that of Jean Baptiste Morel, who were contemporaries. It could be by a competent artist from their circle. Elements of the picture are redolent also of the work of Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen II.
