from c. 1946/1948, gilded and green painted sculptural metal construction, the shaft decorated with applied laurel tendrils, each height approx. 90 cm, width approx. 45 cm, depth approx. 53 cm, no guarantee for electrical fittings. (MHA)
There exist altogether 25 appliques, which were reinstalled in the two big station halls of Linz Main Station after World War II. They were removed again in 2002 in the course of the station’s refurbishment.
Provenance:
Acquired by the present owner in 2009 from the then ÖBB project manager in charge.
