with marks of the Archducal House of Hesse-Battenberg (Mountbatten), stag’s antlers from archducal ownership, an odd 14-pointer and a 12-pointer, mounted on wall boards of a later date, height c. 70 cm each, dated 24.8.1891, well-kept condition; “Kranichstr. Park”, monogrammed “L IV.” for Grand Duke Ludwig IV. of Hessen and by Rhine (1837–1892) and dated 29.7.1907 (indistinctly) “Kranichst. Park”, monogrammed “EL” for Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig of Hessen by Rhine (1868-1937), the last reigning Prince of the House and brother of the last Czarina Alexandra. (DOC)
