Upper Bavaria, second half of the 18th century, the Magi, St. Mary and Joseph (the Christ child is not originally not part of this piece but a later addition made of plaster), an angel and 4 further figures from the retinue of the Magi, wax heads, hands and legs on wire bodies, original fabric clothing, silk, silk brocade, velvet, braids and lace, glass beads, silver threads, figure size c. 20 cm, all figures damaged especially to legs and hands, in addition fragment of a crib ruin, paper palms and cedars, in walnut box 51.5 x 25.5 x 28 cm, old label with description of the contents: "1.) Antike Krippenfiguren (darunter gute Stücke) erworben 1906) ....", (MC)
