This rare piece of furniture is characterised by high-quality workmanship and functional details. The top features two lockable secret compartments, the side fronts storage units with narrow doors. The sculptural decoration of the glass fronts is removable. Sculptural pedestal carvings accentuate the full intermediate surfaces, an all-round foliate relief terminates at the top. The present bookcase is one of two pieces realised as a commissioned work for a private villa.
