The building of the Viennese mercantile community on Schwarzenbergplatz (today No. 14) was built in the Neobaroque style after designs by Ernst von Gotthilf and Oskar Neumann in 1902. In 1903 the building was ceremoniously opened by Emperor Francis Joseph.
