Queen Elizabeth II, 1952, vintage gelatin silver print, photographer's stamp Karsh Ottawa on the reverse, inscribed in ballpoint: ‘Wien 4th August 1976 Erinnerung an meine Wanderzeit von 1950-1955mit Portraitphotograph Mr. Karsh in Ottawa; in London bei Ihrer Majestic Queen Elisabeth II habe ich als Beleuchter gearbeitet für diese Aufnahme....’ [Vienna 4th August 1976 commemorating my itinerant years from 1950-1955 with portrait photographer Mr. Karsh in Ottawa; in London with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II I worked as a lighting technician for this photograph....], pasted paper strip with the typewritten inscription: ‘Original Fotografie Mr. Karsh für die 3c Briefmarke von Canada 1952’ [original photograph by Mr. Karsh for the 3c stamp of Canada in 1952] with a stamp (Noly Lensfield ?), 24 x 19 cm, craquelure to the margins, with some defects (writing is slightly visible)
