Provenance:
South German private collection.

Martin Zürn was born in around 1590 probably in Waldsee. He is first documented in 1615, from 1643 - 65 master in Braunau am Inn. He was the brother of Michael and Jörg Zürn.
His works include the high altar carved between 1613 and 1618 (together with his brothers Jörg and Michael and his father Hans) in the cathedral in Überlingen,  the round reliefs of the rosary altar in Überlingen cathedral, (1631/1640); the high altar (broken off) and pulpit of the parish church in Wasserburg am Inn, (1638/1639); the figures of the high altar of the parish church in Braunau am Inn, c. 1642.
