The about three year old princess wears a headscarf with crossed ends tied in the front, a white shirt with ruffled neckline and mint coloured shawl with blossoms over it, a purple bodice with purple blossoms and gold border, with a flower bouquet in the decollete, the prince, about two years old, wears a tight brocade bonnet with yellow ground, large polychrome painted Indian blooming branches, an all-round gilt lace border with white furbelow and royal blue bow, on the side an ostrich feather with royal blue mesh, probably to indicate the rank of the future Dauphin, white shirt with ruffles with open ribbons, jacket with gold lace edges, purple sash and pinned flower bouquet, gold-heightened rocaille bases, porcelain, polychromed and gilt, both heights 23.5 cm, a few blossoms very slightly chipped
blue crossed swords mark, second half of the 19th century, model no. 2744, form. 101, painter no. 4, 43, model by Johann Joachim Kändler c. 1753, he drew authentic portraits with blue eyes, since the children posed for him in Paris. The portraits were commissioned by the grandfather Augustus III King of Poland and Prince-Elector of Saxony (Ru)
