GUSTAVO LINS was born in Brazil. After obtaining a master’s degree in architecture, he moved into design as a freelance pattern maker. He worked for Johan Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo and Jean Paul Gaultier before founding his own ready-to-wear line, l'Atelier Gustavolins, in 2003. Looking to Japanese culture and architecture as his muses, Lins breathes life into the rigid man-made structures from which he draws inspiration, transforming them into fluid silhouettes.
