“The painting ‘Ackerlandschaft und Sämann’ (oil, canvas) overleaf is, I am convinced, an original by Albin Egger-Lienz. The painting is part of a group of landscapes that were created in the area around Lienz in September of this year in connection with the first ‘Sämann’ of 1903. (Cf. M 1999 and M 200 in the index of my EL monograph). The painting, which was not known when the book was published, will be listed in the planned supplement to the catalogue raisonné.
The painting is in technically good condition. The original canvas [...] is laid down on old linen (with sketchy painting); the stretcher is new. The estate stamp and signature stamp have been affixed to the stretcher as well as on the lower left front side. Innsbruck 18. 9. 1990”

Expertise by Wilfried Kirschl, partly illegible, Archive Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum Innsbruck
