I can say, Madam, in sincerity and truth that His Mayesty was in every act gallant and honorable in the highest degree. The fair an illustrious name of the ancient house of Habsburg received no tarrish house of him. During his imprisement his physical strenght become reduced, but his mental faculties were strong and his spirit that of a true soldier (...) By every principle of law and justice, His Mayesty's life should have been spared. The deed that deprived him of it, was Murder. It was dictat- ed by ignorance an a savage spirit of revenge (...) And may the Great King of Kings who ruleth upon that Throne which is overall earthly thrones, give you that strength of mind which will enable Your Highness to bear in meekness and humility this great affliction. And when all there is of earth shall have passed away, may all the family of the house of Habsburg unite around the Celestial Throne blessed by eternal happines (...)
