The present model is still without the crown protector that would later become a normal feature. The term “nipple dial” is used by collectors for the dials with the characteristic round indexes. This shape can be found especially in the vintage models of GMT - Master from the 1950s and 1960s. The production of these dials stopped in the early 1980s. The dial and bezel were exchanged at the customer’s request. The watch has age-related signs of wear and damage. The dial has been subsequently gilt.
