Noch während der Berufung gegen die sechsmonatige Haftstrafe
wegen der Aktion “Kunst und Revolution”, die 1868 an
der Universität Wien stattfindet, flieht Günter Brus, der “meistgehasste
Österreicher” mit seiner Familie nach Berlin. Im “Exil”
entsteht das vorliegende Werk, das Brus für den italienischen
Sammler und Förderer Francesco Conz als Fotoabzug auf Leinwand
signiert. Einhergehend mit massiven Tabuverletzungen,
stellen Brus und die Aktionisten den traditionellen Kunstbegriff
in Frage und bereiten den Weg für die österreichische Konzeptkunst.
