Wood, forged nails, 93 x 60 cm. These doors are often made in separate parts, due to the rarity of wood. To discourage thieves the front is covered by ancestral spirits, represented by a male and female figure carved in high relief. The careful placement and similarity of the additional ancestral male female pair on the lock itself indicates that the door and lock were carved at the same time. (VJ)
